It was a great day up on the “Big Pond.” It had been far too long since we specifically had targeted smallmouth bass. Fortunately, we hadn’t lost our touch. The bass were not hard to find, and were located in their usually summer locations. We explored some nice rock structures with good depth changes, and found bronzebacks a plenty.

We pounded the structure hard for most of the day, and had a lot of success. The power of these fish always amazes me. Pound for pound, they are the toughest fighters out there. They are just relentless on your drag. Nevertheless, we got the best of them.

Here are a few from the day.
