I was able to spend the afternoon in the 10,000 Islands area with Capt. John Lee, of The Trophy Stalkers Guide Service. We were able to get into a bunch of snook in the 20 to 23 inch range. It was good to see the populations starting to recover after the big freeze of 2010. Some area’s of the everglades were estimated to have lost 3 million snook. There is currently a ban on keeping snook until September of 2012, but I would be just fine if they made the regulations similar to Tarpon. C&R creates great fishing opportunities around the world. We did manage to catch 2 pigs on an outgoing tide. Fishing the mangroves for snook is a great place to be in the Florida Everglades throughout the summer!
