We weren’t on the lake for more than 10 minutes when Jeff yelled out that he had one on.  After a short fight, we had our first fish in the net.  A mid-30 inch musky.  Our high expectations quickly faded, as it was the only one that showed any interest in what we were offering.  I landed one small bass, but on this opener the ski’s rejected every fly I threw at them.  We did see 5-6 fish working the shallows where the panfish were bedded up, but couldn’t get any of them to go.
